Christmas dinner and perfume

Last night I went to the College Christmas dinner.  Good times were had!  Unlike previous years, the food was actually rather pleasant, and although I knew relatively few people, those who I did have a chance to talk to were great company.  The pantomime was funny, but, as always, too long.  I took my D40 along – partly to break the boredom, partly to get some nice pics – and I am now furnished with some excellent shots of men in tights.  Hmm.

Tonight there is a mince pie party on the other side of town.  Can’t say I’m looking forward to the trek, but it will be nice to catch up with people I’ve not seen for a while.

In other news, I’m getting back into my BPAL (blackphoenixalchemylab.com) which is a good thing.  I have several litres of perfume sloshing round my room and it really makes sense to wear it.  If I have time later – between writing and eating – I will look to organize the collection a bit, and maybe arrange to pass some on for Christmas.

Speaking of which, Christmas presents must be thought through soon.  I’m interviewing at Homerton on Monday, and then plan to dash to London to see little bro and do our shopping together.  So must have plans in advance.  So far, I have something for Yse, and something for Mum…but there are lots of (expensive) ideas bubbling away.

Anyway, time to write now – am working from home, in the hope that my bed will encourage some serious writing activity.  I’m feeling positive!  :o )
